Actress Vitalija Mockevičiūtė reveals her unexpected hobby

Vitalija Mockevičiūtė’s idea of relaxation is far removed from taking it easy. The Lithuanian actress says her hobby is renovating homes, painting and changing interiors.

Mockevičiūtė stars in LNK’s new comedy series “Not Everyone Is Home,” playing Rozalija, a mother-in-law who likes to control the family and makes life difficult for her son-in-law. The series follows the Bukauskas family after an eccentric mother-in-law comes to live under the same roof.

The actress said working with familiar colleagues made it easier to understand the project and develop the characters. She described the company as excellent and the filming atmosphere as free of conflict. Directors Džiugas Siaurusaitis and Justinas Krisiūnas had different working styles, she said, but that may benefit the series.

Mockevičiūtė also welcomed meeting content creators Lina and Andrius Talžūnai, for whom the series was a first experience of this kind. She said they became increasingly confident during filming and that the group eventually felt like a real family.

She described Rozalija as the kind of mother-in-law frequently discussed in jokes about sons-in-law. During the summer, Mockevičiūtė found time to rest in the countryside where her mother lives. Mowing grass, tidying and other practical tasks leave her physically tired but mentally rested.

“Not Everyone Is Home” premieres on LNK at 9 p.m. on Monday and will air from Monday to Thursday.
