The Lapinskai wedding included a surprise for guests: “We wanted to surprise them”

After more than 20 years off air, TV3’s “BE TABU” will return with a first episode built around the backstage stories of three summer events in Lithuania.

Hosts Keitė Arai and Tomas Ališauskas will visit a Social Democratic Party gathering in Šventoji, where the program says guests enjoyed food, entertainment and even coronations. Party associates also gave chairman Mindaugas Sinkevičius a survival kit as journalists examined his connections, money and diplomas.

I started preparing a week before, took a shovel, went into the forest and dug up the treasure everyone is looking for. I thought, there would be many expenses and I would have to pay everyone. But even that was not enough...

The program will then turn to Aliona and Laimonas Lapinskai’s wedding. It was the couple’s second marriage, and preparations lasted more than six months. Laimonas offered a more playful account, saying he began preparing a week before the event by taking a shovel into the forest to dig up treasure because the expenses were high.

Everything was chosen by my wife. You make an effort and search yourself when you do not have a wife. When you have a wife, who do you want to please? Your wife!

Aliona will discuss her appearance and explain why only close relatives attended. She will also describe the tango the couple performed during the celebration. “That dance was more my idea. I wanted to surprise our guests,” she said. Laimonas said his wife chose his suit because, once married, he wanted to please her.

The episode will also feature the eighth Vilnius Comic Con festival, with costumes and characters including demon hunters, talking televisions and warrior princesses. The first episode was scheduled to air on TV3 at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, the final day of summer.
