After Destroying Ship in Caspian Sea, Zelenskyy Responds to Iran's Threats: You Already Attacked Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy directly addressed Iran's threats following a Ukrainian drone strike on an Iranian commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea. Tehran had warned Ukraine of "unpredictable consequences" after the attack, which reportedly resulted in one death and one injury.

However, during an interview with Sky News while on a visit to the UK, Zelenskyy countered Iran's condemnation by highlighting its prior involvement in the conflict. He stated that Iran had supplied thousands of suicide drones to Russia during the first year of the war, effectively making it an aggressor against Ukraine.

"Iran and North Korea have already attacked us," Zelenskyy asserted, referring to the provision of weapons and technology. He detailed that Tehran had provided Russia with thousands of "Shahed" suicide drones, along with technology and production licenses, in the initial year of the full-scale invasion.

Zelenskyy acknowledged that Ukraine must exercise caution and avoid opening new fronts. Nevertheless, he emphasized that Iran's actions, by arming Moscow, constituted direct participation in the Russia-Ukraine war. He expressed hope that Iran would not escalate its support for Russia but warned that Ukraine must remain prepared, stating, "We cannot trust these people."
