After four matches, Miguelito returns to the field for Santos

Miguel Terceros returned to action for Santos after four consecutive matches without playing, entering the second half of the team’s 3-2 away victory over Internacional in the 26th round of Brazil’s Serie A.

The Bolivian forward came on in the 82nd minute, with Santos leading 3-1 and the match entering its final stages. He had little time to make an impact, but became involved in one of the decisive moments of the closing minutes.

Terceros lost track of his opponent, who entered the area and was brought down. The referee awarded Internacional a penalty, and the hosts converted it to reduce the score to 3-2. Santos held on to its advantage and secured three points away from home.

For Terceros, the main positive was his return after a run of four matches spent on the substitutes’ bench. His previous appearance came on Aug. 20, when he entered against Macará in the Copa Sudamericana. He will now seek more opportunities with Santos, which hosts Atlético Mineiro on Wednesday in the first leg of the competition’s quarterfinals.
