What happens at Blooming after defeat in Potosí?

Blooming’s latest away defeat has again put coach Erwin Sánchez’s future under scrutiny. The team lost 2-1 to Nacional Potosí in the Villa Imperial, extending its winless run to five matches.

The result pushed the club down to 10th place with 23 points and left it further from the positions needed to compete in international tournaments. The latest setback has deepened doubts about Sánchez’s process, after a series of poor results in recent weeks.

Some Bolivian sports outlets have already named possible replacements, including two foreign coaches. Blooming’s leadership, however, has not officially confirmed that Sánchez could leave.

Díez tried on Monday to contact several club directors about the coach’s future but received no response by the time the report closed. Carlos Aragonés, Blooming’s sporting director and one of the officials authorized to address sporting matters and the coach’s continuation, also could not be reached.

The squad was scheduled to return to Santa Cruz on Monday from Sucre. Its return could clarify whether the directors have made a decision about the coaching staff or whether Sánchez will remain in charge for the coming matches. For now, Blooming’s poor form, its fall in the standings and its distance from its stated objectives have left the coach’s future unresolved.
