After Super Cup Win, PSG Signs New Reinforcement from Ajax

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), the reigning European and French champions, continues to strengthen its squad with the acquisition of 21-year-old winger Mika Godts from Ajax. Godts, who had a strong season with the Amsterdam club, was a key player in their attack.

During his 42 appearances for Ajax across all competitions last season, Godts netted 17 goals and provided 14 assists. Despite his performance, he was not included in the Belgian national team's squad for the World Cup. He has previously earned two caps for the Belgian national team.

Godts' arrival follows PSG's earlier signing of Maghnes Akliouch from Monaco. The French champions are also reportedly in advanced negotiations for Ferran Torres, a forward from Barcelona who scored Spain's only goal in the recent World Cup final. Additionally, PSG is looking to bring in Parma's goalkeeper and Japanese international, Zion Suzuki.

PSG has already added a trophy to their cabinet this season, defeating Aston Villa 2-1 in the European Super Cup. This signing of Godts underscores PSG's ambition to maintain their dominance in European football.
