Afternoon thunderstorms predicted, Negeri Sembilan voters advised to vote early

Voters in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, are being urged to cast their ballots early on election day due to forecasts predicting thunderstorms in the afternoon across most of the state.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) has issued a special weather forecast for the state election, indicating clear conditions in the morning throughout all seven districts. However, the weather is expected to change significantly by the afternoon, with thunderstorms and rain anticipated in most areas.

Specifically, districts like Seremban, Port Dickson, Rembau, Kuala Pilah, Jempol, and Tampin are forecast to experience thunderstorms in the afternoon. Jelebu is the only district expected to have continuous rain without thunderstorms. Temperatures are expected to range from a minimum of 23 degrees Celsius in Jelebu, Jempol, and Tampin, to a maximum of 33 degrees Celsius in Port Dickson, Seremban, Rembau, and Kuala Pilah during the midday heat.

This special weather forecast was officially released by the National Weather and Earthquake Operations Center under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability to facilitate the voting process. Voters are advised to be prepared for the afternoon weather by bringing umbrellas or raincoats and to plan their journeys accordingly to prevent any inconvenience.
