AGF coach: Conference League suits us better than Champions League

Danish club AGF will be participating in the Conference League this season after their Champions League qualifying campaign fell short. While the club initially aimed for a spot in Europe's premier club competition, coach Jakob Poulsen sees the Conference League as a more suitable stage for his team.

AGF's European journey began with Champions League qualification, but a decisive loss to Benfica ended those hopes. Despite the overall 2-6 aggregate defeat across two legs, Poulsen was satisfied with his team's performance against the Portuguese giants. He noted that while AGF made mistakes that were punished by Benfica, the team made the favored opponent work for their victories.
