AiMOGA’s Mornine humanoid robot gains three EU certifications for global markets

AiMOGA’s Mornine humanoid robot has secured three European certifications as it prepares for wider use in global markets. The certifications cover machinery safety, cybersecurity and data protection, as well as radio equipment.

Mornine has met the CE-MD Machinery Safety Directive, the EN 18031 standard for cybersecurity and data protection, and the CE-RED Radio Equipment Directive. It has also received certification from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission for wireless communications equipment.

The assessments were conducted by TÜV Rheinland, an independent testing, inspection and certification organization. CE-MD covers mechanical, electrical and functional safety, including the robot’s mechanical design, system development and hardware-software integration.

The EN 18031 requirements cover cybersecurity and data protection for connected devices. Mornine is reported to have met EN 18031-1:2024 for cybersecurity and EN 18031-2:2024 for data protection.

AiMOGA, an official subsidiary of Chery Group established in early 2025, focuses on artificial intelligence and robotics. Zhang Guibing, president of Chery International and AiMOGA Robotics, said the certifications represent more than an administrative step. "For AiMOGA Robotics, certification is never merely an administrative stage, but the beginning of a robot’s journey toward real-world application. We always place safety, operational system reliability and data protection as our top priorities," he said.
