Air Serbia to fly directly from Niš to Vienna and Malta from October

Air Serbia announced it will introduce direct flights from Niš to Vienna and Malta, commencing October 25. This expansion aims to enhance direct air connectivity with these European destinations, operating twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Jirži Marek, Air Serbia's CEO, stated the new routes are intended to provide travelers from Niš and the wider region with reliable and high-quality connections to important European cities. He expressed confidence that these flights will further stimulate traffic at Niš Constantine the Great Airport.

Tickets for the new services will be available through Air Serbia's website, mobile app, company offices, and authorized travel agencies. The introduction of Vienna and Malta routes from Niš reinforces Air Serbia's role in linking Serbia with key European hubs and supports the development of air transport from Niš Airport.

This development occurs as Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair confirmed it will suspend its operations to and from Niš at the beginning of winter. Ryanair cited regulatory issues concerning fuel as the reason for halting flights, though specific details were not provided. The last bookable flight from Niš on Ryanair's website is scheduled for October 24.
