AKP Appoints New Provincial Chairs in Giresun and Adana

The Justice and Development Party (AKP) has announced new leadership appointments for two key provinces in Turkey. Hüseyin Alkan has been named the new Provincial Chair for Giresun, while Mustafa Özkan will assume the role of Provincial Chair for Adana.

The appointment of Hüseyin Alkan in Giresun follows the departure of Mete Bahadır Yılmaz from the position on June 3. Alkan's selection came after a process involving preference surveys and evaluations by the AKP Central Headquarters. Alkan has previously held positions such as Giresun Provincial Representative for the Turkey Youth Foundation (TÜGVA) and Provincial Chair of the Education Support Platform in Giresun. He is expected to form his provincial executive board in the coming days.

In Adana, Mustafa Özkan's appointment as Provincial Chair was made by the AKP Central Headquarters after a review process. Özkan has a long history of service within the AKP's organizational structure, having previously served as the AKP Seyhan District Chair and as Deputy Provincial Chair for AKP Adana.
