Al Azhar University Researchers Socialize Smart Permaculture Program at Indonesian Pesantren

A research team from Al Azhar University (UAI) visited Pesantren Riyadul Muta’alimin in Sumedang, West Java, to introduce their research program focused on integrating smart permaculture systems for renewable energy optimization. The initiative aims to enhance energy efficiency within the pesantren's living laboratory.

The program, titled "Implementation of Integrated Smart Permaculture System for Optimization of Renewable Energy in Living Lab Pesantren Riyadul Muta’alimin," is a collaborative effort. It involves UAI, Telkom University, and Bina Sarana Informatika University, with Pesantren Riyadul Muta’alimin serving as the dedicated living lab for the project.

Dr. Nunung Nurhasanah, a lecturer in UAI's Industrial Engineering department, leads the research team. She highlighted the involvement of several UAI students from the Industrial Engineering and Electrical Engineering study programs. These students play a crucial role in supporting the research activities, from initial preparations and documentation to providing technical assistance throughout the project's duration.
