Alan Jones told 17yo 'there are no rules' at his home, court hears

A man has detailed in court allegations of indecent assault and sexual touching against veteran broadcaster Alan Jones, describing a night at Jones's farm where he claims the 85-year-old demanded he shower and wear only a robe.

The complainant, referred to as J, is the first of six male accusers to give evidence in Sydney Local Court. Jones has pleaded not guilty to all charges. His defense lawyer has suggested the case is fueled by media rivalry and betrayal from colleagues.

J testified that Jones took an interest in his early sporting career, providing him with a phone, car, and weekly payments. During this period, Jones allegedly kissed and touched him multiple times. The court heard that in 2004, during a stay at Jones's Fitzroy Falls farm, they had dinner and wine. J recounted Jones telling him, "You've got to remember, there's only one rule here … there are no rules."

J alleges Jones then instructed him to shower and return wearing "a robe and nothing else." He told the court, "The defendant told me to go and have a shower and come back in a robe and nothing else. It was very, very direct. It was, '[J], come back in a robe and nothing else.'" The complainant stated he wore underwear beneath the robe and felt his "heart was racing" as he sat beside Jones, who he claims rubbed his genitals on the outside of the robe.

Further graphic allegations followed, including Jones allegedly pulling the complainant towards him, kissing him, and their naked genitals touching. J also described an incident on a bed where both allegedly masturbated simultaneously. When asked why he complied, J responded, "I thought it was the quickest way to get it over and done with. It was another trapped moment. I was completely frozen."

J testified that Jones allegedly touched his own penis while describing the alleged actions. He also recounted returning to the farm on another occasion due to his family's presence and visiting Jones's Circular Quay apartment, where he intended to confront Jones. The court heard Jones allegedly gave the complainant a "chomping motion" kiss before bed without consent. J expressed disappointment that he froze and did not stand up to Jones at that time, believing it was an opportunity to end the alleged abuse.
