Aletra Prepares Electric LMPV L7 for Indonesian Families

PT Aletra Mobil Nusantara has unveiled the prototype of its latest electric vehicle, the Aletra L7, at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026. This new model is designed to enter the electric Low Multi-Purpose Vehicle (LMPV) segment, aiming to become an accessible choice for Indonesian families.

This prototype launch marks Aletra's second participation in GIIAS and is a key part of the company's strategy to strengthen its presence in the national electric vehicle industry. Andre Djojana, CEO of PT Aletra Mobil Nusantara, stated that the development of the Aletra L7 follows positive market reception for their Aletra L8 model.

The Aletra L7 was developed in collaboration with Linxys, adapting the latter's vehicle platform to suit Indonesian consumer needs and road conditions. The vehicle measures 4,550 mm in length, 1,705 mm in width, and 1,725 mm in height, featuring a modern design characteristic of family MPVs.

Despite its positioning as an affordable electric LMPV, the Aletra L7 includes features typically found in higher-class vehicles, such as optional second-row captain seats for enhanced passenger comfort and automatic sliding doors for easier cabin access. Aletra plans to officially launch the L7 in October 2026, concurrently with the inauguration of its new headquarters. Andre expressed hope that the Aletra L7 will become the preferred affordable electric LMPV for Indonesian families, offering a premium driving experience.
