Mercedes-Benz launches AMG GT 63 PRO and GLC 200 at GIIAS 2026

Mercedes-Benz Indonesia marked its 140th anniversary of automotive innovation by unveiling two new models at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026: the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ and the new GLC 200 4MATIC.

The introduction of these vehicles is part of the "140 Years of Innovation" celebration, a milestone underscoring the German automaker's enduring contribution to the global automotive industry. Adding historical context, Mercedes-Benz also displayed a replica of the Benz Patent-Motorwagen, the world's first automobile introduced in 1886, in collaboration with the National Museum of Indonesia. This exhibit serves as a symbol of the brand's origins and its foundational role in automotive development.

Donald Rachmat, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Indonesia, emphasized the company's commitment to its core principles. "For 140 years, Mercedes-Benz has delivered numerous innovations that have shaped the direction of the automotive industry. This spirit continues to be our foundation in developing vehicles that combine technology, performance, and luxury," he stated.

Rachmat highlighted that the newly launched AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ and GLC 200 4MATIC represent distinct interpretations of the Mercedes-Benz DNA, each delivering engineering excellence, performance, and comfort within their respective segments. The AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ is noted for its top-tier performance, having also been designated as the Official FIA Formula One Safety Car, showcasing technology derived from motorsport.
