Alleged 'La Glendisa' Member Linked to Drug Dealing, Extortion in Mexico City

Authorities in Mexico City have linked Daniel "N," also known as "La Esfera," to the criminal organization "La Glendisa," accusing him of drug dealing and extortion. A control judge has ordered him to stand trial for crimes against public health in the form of drug dealing, according to the Mexico City Attorney General's Office (FGJCDMX).

The investigation began after a citizen reported suspicious activity at a property in the Tláhuac borough, believed to be a hub for drug sales. Intelligence gathering and surveillance by the Investigative Police (PDI) led to the acquisition of a search warrant. During the operation on July 22, Daniel "N" was apprehended, and authorities seized several doses of what appeared to be drugs and six mobile phones.

The operation involved both the PDI and the National Guard. In a hearing on July 24, prosecutors presented the evidence, prompting the judge to order Daniel "N" to stand trial. He was also placed in pretrial detention, with a complementary investigation period set for two months. The FGJCDMX reiterated its commitment to dismantling criminal groups and bringing those involved in crimes affecting public safety to justice.
