Ambulance driver arrested, accused of spying for Iran, providing footage of hospitals

Israeli security forces have indicted Amir Hisham Muhammad Titi, a 34-year-old Israeli citizen, on charges of espionage for Iran. Titi, who worked as an ambulance driver, was arrested several weeks prior to the indictment and is accused of providing his Iranian handlers with sensitive intelligence.

According to police, Titi supplied various types of information, including the emergency protocols of Israeli hospitals. He also allegedly distributed media documentation of a high-profile Israeli figure visiting a hospital in northern Israel. Beyond his hospital-related activities, Titi is suspected of undertaking missions to gather media documentation of various locations across Israel, including Tel Aviv's Hostages Square.

Further alleged espionage activities included photographing the Horev Mall in Haifa and a town in the Sharon region where a senior member of the Israeli security establishment resides. Police stated that Titi received tens of thousands of shekels for his alleged work, with funds funneled through his family members' bank accounts and a digital cryptocurrency wallet. The indictment was filed in the Haifa District Court.
