American Midfielder Libby Moore Joins Bottom-Ranked Þór/KA

Icelandic club Þór/KA has strengthened its squad by signing American midfielder Libby Moore for the remainder of the Bestu deild women's season. The 25-year-old brings a wealth of international experience to the team, having previously played for Fortuna Hjørring in Denmark, Shelbourne in Ireland, and U.S. clubs Gotham and Lexington.

Moore expressed her enthusiasm for the challenge, citing positive experiences shared by her American friends who have played in the Icelandic league. "I know that this year it is a very even league with tough competition, from the top spots to the bottom, so every single game will be difficult," Moore stated in a club release. "I am therefore excited for the challenge and excited to get on the field and do my best to help the team."

Þór/KA is currently at the bottom of the league standings, having accumulated nine points from 11 matches. Moore's arrival is expected to bolster the team's efforts as they aim to improve their position in the highly competitive league.
