Amokachi Backs Nigerian Football Camp to Discover Future Stars

Nigerian football icon Daniel “The Bull” Amokachi has thrown his support behind the Springsoca United Mainland Summer Camp, branding it a crucial initiative for unearthing and developing the nation's next generation of football stars. The camp, themed ‘Legends Meet Future Stars 2.0,’ is set to take place from August 10 to 16, 2026, at the Legacy Pitch within the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.

Open to aspiring players aged five to 23, the event will have Amokachi serve as its official ambassador. The former Super Eagles striker, a winner of the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations and an Olympic gold medallist, stressed the importance of structured grassroots development in producing both national team players and professional footballers. He urged young participants to seize the opportunity presented by the camp.
