Amorim’s AC Milan come from behind to beat Man United 4-2 as Chukwueze shines

AC Milan staged a dramatic comeback to defeat Manchester United 4-2 in a pre-season friendly held in Wroclaw, Poland. The Italian side surrendered the lead twice but ultimately secured a convincing victory, handing Manchester United a challenging result ahead of the new Premier League season.

Manchester United started brightly, with Harry Maguire opening the scoring in the second minute from a Bruno Fernandes corner. Amad Diallo nearly extended their lead shortly after. However, AC Milan gradually found their rhythm. Gonçalo Ramos played a key role in Milan's equalizer in the 37th minute, setting up Samuel Chukwueze for the close-range finish.

United had a chance to regain the lead before halftime when awarded a penalty, but Bruno Fernandes's effort was saved by Milan's goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani. The English side did go back in front six minutes into the second half through Patrick Dorgu, capitalizing on a defensive error.

AC Milan responded swiftly once more. Alphadjo Cisse leveled the score in the 57th minute, with Chukwueze again involved in creating the opportunity. Gonçalo Ramos then completed the comeback in the 68th minute, heading home Milan's third goal. Ruben Loftus-Cheek sealed the victory in the 71st minute, exploiting Milan's dominance on United's right flank.

The match also saw significant returns for Manchester United players, including Lisandro Martinez and Kobbie Mainoo. Marcus Rashford made his first appearance in 20 months after coming off the bench. Despite these positive individual moments, the team's defensive frailties were exposed, leaving much for United to assess.
