AMTY Award Organizers Distribute N2.5 Million to Five Winners

The organizers of the Anambra Most Talented Youth (AMTY) Award have fulfilled their commitment to reward excellence by distributing a total of N2.5 million in cash prizes to five deserving awardees. Each winner received N500,000 during a ceremony held on Friday, August 21, 2026.

The prize money is earmarked for specific purposes: schools receiving awards will use the funds to enhance their libraries, thereby strengthening educational resources. Individual winners are expected to invest the money in supporting and expanding their respective businesses or innovative ventures.

Among the distinguished recipients were Mater Amabilis Secondary School in Umuoji, recognized as the Best Public School of the Year, and St. John Vianney Science College in Ukwulu, named the Best Private School of the Year. The Principal of St. Charles College, Onitsha, Fr. Dr. Gabriel Ositadimma Anochilionye, received the award for School Administrator of the Year.

Further individual accolades included Kenechukwu Ndunwa for Innovator of the Year and OneGrid Energies from Onitsha, which secured the Startup Company of the Year award. The organizers expressed their intention to increase the prize values for the sixth edition of the AMTY Award, aiming to broaden the initiative's impact and provide even greater support to future participants.
