Croatian international striker Ana Maria Marković has fulfilled a lifelong dream by signing with ŽNK Hajduk Split, the club her family has long supported. The 26-year-old forward, who joins from a career spanning leagues in Switzerland, Portugal, and the United States, expressed her profound connection to the Split-based team.

"Hajduk has always been more than just a club for my family and me," Marković stated during her official presentation. "Following Hajduk from the diaspora was part of our daily life. Born in Switzerland, Marković began her football journey in the youth systems of FC Zurich before gaining prominence with Grasshopper. Her impressive performances, speed, and goal-scoring ability in the Swiss league earned her a place in the Croatian women's national team, for which she debuted in 2021.

Her move to Split represents a particularly emotional homecoming, as Marković's maternal family originates from the city. This connection makes her arrival at Hajduk a return to her roots.
