Anambra to Deploy More Soldiers Amidst Insecurity Concerns

Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has announced that additional Nigerian Army personnel will soon be deployed to the state to bolster the ongoing fight against insecurity. This commitment comes as part of broader efforts to enhance safety and combat criminal activities within the region.

The governor's statement was made in Awka during the third anniversary celebration of the Eighth Anambra House of Assembly. He revealed that a delegation from the Nigerian Army had visited the state to evaluate proposals for establishing a new barracks. Such a facility is intended to provide crucial support in the battle against criminality.

Governor Soludo expressed optimism about the current security situation, asserting that the state is making significant progress in overcoming crime. He attributed this success, in part, to the support received from President Bola Tinubu's administration, noting that peace has largely returned to communities across Anambra.

He also commended the state lawmakers for their legislative contributions, highlighting how their laws and resolutions have aided the executive arm in delivering developmental projects and services to the people. Soludo praised the harmonious relationship between the legislative and executive branches, emphasizing its role in effective governance and the overall progress of Anambra State.
