Anime and Battle Beyblades Take Over Kaohsiung; Candidates Join the Fun

Kaohsiung is buzzing with activity as the "Summer Love High-Speed Rail Anime Season" kicked off at the Formosa Boulevard Station, drawing large crowds of anime enthusiasts. The event featured exciting stage performances and enthusiastic fan support, marking a strong start to the city's summer anime celebrations.

Complementing the anime festivities, a massive "Battle Beyblade" tournament, billed as the largest in southern Taiwan, took place in Zuoying District. The "Gold, Silver, Bronze Azure Dragon Sword" competition saw 480 skilled players battle it out, pushing the Beyblade craze to its peak. The event attracted nearly a thousand players, parents, and popular online influencers.

Local political figures also joined the fun. Several city councilors and candidates, including incumbent Zhang Boyang and candidates Zhang Yili, Deng Qiaopei, and Zhang Yaozhong, participated in the Beyblade tournament. Zhang Boyang achieved his first-ever Beyblade victory at the event, following a previous defeat.

Organizer Zhang Yili expressed gratitude to the participating teams and Xinshang Elementary School for providing a venue. He noted the joy and excitement of the nearly thousand attendees, emphasizing his commitment to supporting diverse recreational activities that contribute to Kaohsiung's vibrant and youthful energy. The "Summer Love High-Speed Rail Anime Season" will continue with an anime market, game carnival, and cosplay events in August.
