Announcements: Book fair, 24-hour forex trading, science award

Academia and science are also seeing recognition. The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Federation of Korean Scientific and Technological Societies have named Professor Chun Jin-woo of Yonsei University as the recipient of this year's Korea Highest Science and Technology Award. Professor Chun is recognized for his pioneering contributions to nanomedicine, particularly his work in merging nanochemistry with biotechnology to develop innovative diagnostic and cellular treatment methods that overcome the limitations of existing medical practices.

In other news, Samsung C&T announced on June 6th that its exterior and community designs for Raemian One Perlra won a gold award at the international '2026 London Design Awards' in the architectural design category. Additionally, the Seoul AI Foundation and Seoul National University of Science and Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding on July 1st to foster Seoul's AI strategic industries and create an AI innovation ecosystem. This collaboration aims to leverage the Seoul AI Foundation's experience in public AI projects and the university's research and educational capabilities to expand public AI R&D and policy validation.
