Another motorcyclist dies en route to RXZ Members gathering

A motorcyclist traveling to a RXZ Members 8.0 gathering in Kuala Terengganu died in a road accident on the East Coast Expressway 1 (LPT1) near Maran. The incident occurred around 6:30 AM on July 31, when the rider's Yamaha 125ZR motorcycle skidded.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe injuries. According to Maran District Police Chief Superintendent Wong Kim Wai, police received information from the public and dispatched officers to the location. Initial investigations suggest the rider was traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Terengganu for the RXZ Members 8.0 event.

"Upon arriving at the scene, the rider is believed to have lost control, causing the motorcycle to skid. The rider fell onto the right lane of the highway and was pronounced dead at the scene," Wong Kim Wai stated. He added that the accident is believed to have resulted from the rider's failure to maintain control of the motorcycle.

As of now, no witnesses have come forward to assist the investigation. Police are continuing to investigate the exact cause of the incident under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. This marks another fatality among motorcyclists heading to the RXZ Members event.
