Ante Gelo and Jelena Perčin pose with jazz legend after secret wedding

A photograph from behind the scenes at the Makarska Jazz Festival has drawn attention to the apparent happiness of newlyweds Ante Gelo and Jelena Perčin.

Gelo, the festival’s artistic director, hosted international musicians during its 13th edition in August. In the photograph, he stands with Perčin and Jean-Paul “Bluey” Maunick, founder of the British acid jazz group Incognito, who was one of the festival’s main performers.

Gelo shared the image with his followers, prompting a wave of positive comments. Their smiles and relaxed appearance became the main focus of the reaction, with followers commenting that marriage appeared to suit the couple.

One commenter wrote, “Mr Ante, in my opinion, since you married Jelena, you have grown younger.” The couple married in secret in Italy in mid-July, surrounded by close friends and family, and then went on honeymoon, according to a source close to them cited by Jutarnji.

Although they initially kept their relationship private, Gelo and Perčin were photographed in an embrace during New Year celebrations in Dubrovnik in late 2025. They later appeared together on the red carpet at the Večernjak Rose awards and now occasionally share moments from their life on social media.
