Antetokounmpo family foundation creates job opportunities for refugees and migrants in Greece

The Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation has launched an initiative called CAFF Work, aiming to create employment opportunities for refugees and migrants within the Greek industrial sector.

Recently, seven graduates of the CAFF Work program, powered by Viohalco, received their technical training certificates at the SEV Technical Academy in Athens. This event marked more than just the completion of a training course; it signified a genuine chance for these individuals to integrate into the Greek job market.

For him, it was not just a diploma. It was the first open door to the future.

The atmosphere at the ceremony was deeply moving, driven by the personal stories of the participants. Many arrived in Greece alone, without family or support networks, and often without prior formal education. The SEV Technical Academy trainers noted how the program transformed participants from fearful and hesitant individuals into confident young people who believe in their abilities.

This is perhaps the greatest value of CAFF Work powered by Viohalco. It is not limited to technical training. It invests equally in cooperation, communication, and self-confidence skills, the so-called soft skills, creating an environment where participants not only gain professional skills but also a sense of belonging to a community that trusts them.

One such graduate is 20-year-old Mohammed from Somalia, who arrived in Greece in November 2024. After months of precarious temporary jobs, he spoke at the ceremony without notes, his Greek still hesitant. Holding his first professional training certificate, he saw it as a gateway to his future. The CAFF Work program emphasizes not only technical skills but also crucial soft skills such as cooperation, communication, and self-confidence, creating a supportive community environment.

Representatives from Viohalco companies addressed the graduates not with typical corporate speeches, but with personal reflections as mothers and spouses, highlighting the value of opportunity, perseverance, and trust. This approach positions the program as a vital bridge connecting individuals seeking a second chance with Greek industries in need of skilled labor.
