Anthropic to add Claude's Fable 5 model to Max, Team Premium plans at 50pc of usage limits

Anthropic announced Saturday that its most advanced AI model, Fable 5, will return to the paid Max and Team Premium plans on July 20. Following its reintroduction, Fable 5 will be accessible at 50% of the weekly usage limits for these tiers.

Beginning July 20, Claude Fable 5 will be included in all Max and Team Premium plans, at 50 per cent of limits.

Users on Pro and Team Standard plans will continue to access Fable 5 through usage credits, rather than as part of their standard weekly limits. However, these users will receive a one-time $100 credit. Usage credits allow subscribers to paid Claude plans to continue using the AI after exhausting their included usage allowances.

Anthropic acknowledged that the demand for Fable 5 has been difficult to predict, leading to a phased rollout across subscription plans. The company stated it extended access multiple times as it secured additional capacity, recognizing that this process has been frustrating for users. The AI tool explained it is making access standard at 50% usage for the plans that utilize Fable most intensively. "Thank you for your patience over the past several weeks. We’re continuing to invest in new capacity and will keep everyone updated as we do," the post concluded. Fable 5, a public version of the Mythos AI model, was initially launched in early June, described by Anthropic as its most powerful model for wider use, excelling in areas like software engineering, knowledge work, and scientific research.
