Anti-Corruption Commission to be Formed This Month, Says New Secretary

Md Saidur Rahman Khan, the newly appointed Secretary of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), expressed hope that the commission would be fully constituted within the current month. He conveyed this sentiment during a press briefing following his assumption of office at the ACC headquarters in Dhaka's Segunbagicha.

Khan articulated his intention to enhance the ACC's dynamism and ensure its operations remain independent, adhering strictly to its mandate. He emphasized that efforts would be directed towards improving the commission's public image and making it more accessible and responsive to the people.

Saidur Rahman said he would work to make the ACC more dynamic, adding that the constitutional body would carry out its responsibilities independently in accordance with its mandate.

Saidur Rahman was appointed ACC secretary by the Ministry of Public Administration through a notification issued on July 30. Prior to this appointment, he held the position of secretary at the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, bringing with him experience in public administration and policy implementation.
