Anwar considers pocket-friendly Formula One ticket prices

Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is considering introducing more affordable ticket options for the upcoming Formula One race in Sepang. The move comes in response to public feedback regarding the high cost of attending the international motorsport event.

Anwar Ibrahim acknowledged that there have been requests from the public concerning the steep prices for tickets to the race, scheduled for October. He indicated that the government would explore ways to make the event more accessible to the average citizen.

"People who have already bought tickets are also many. (There are complaints) tickets..." the Prime Minister was quoted as saying, suggesting awareness of existing ticket holders' sentiments while addressing the broader issue of affordability. He pledged to consider offering "madani" and pocket-friendly tickets, referencing a concept of sustainable and people-centric governance, to ensure wider participation in witnessing the international spectacle.
