Applications still open for VP Foundation ECEM Scholarship at UWI, Mona

Students preparing for careers in entertainment and cultural industries can still apply for the Vincent and Patricia VP Foundation ECEM Scholarship at The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus.

The foundation offers the scholarship in partnership with the Institute of Caribbean Studies in the Faculty of Humanities and Education. It supports students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Entertainment and Cultural Enterprise Management.

Recipients will receive tuition assistance and complete a final-year internship at VP Records’ Jamaica branch. The placement is intended to provide practical training and exposure to the global music business.

The scholarship targets students who show strong academic potential, leadership qualities and a commitment to advancing the Caribbean’s entertainment, creative and cultural sectors. Patricia “Miss Pat” Chin, chairwoman of the Vincent and Patricia VP Foundation and co-founder of VP Records, called the initiative “a visionary step forward that emphasises the importance of nurturing emerging talent in the next generation, those who will shape the artistic and social landscape for years to come.”
