APSI 2026 Becomes Indonesia’s Highest Honor for Those Serving Hajj and Umrah Pilgrims

The people and organizations serving Indonesia’s Hajj and Umrah pilgrims received recognition through the 2026 Anugerah Perjalanan Suci Indonesia, or APSI. The awards honor those who contribute to the organization and quality of religious journeys for Indonesian pilgrims.

The program gives travel agencies, strategic partners, service providers, Islamic financial institutions and other figures a place in the spotlight. APSI organizers said the honorees were selected for making concrete contributions to pilgrim services.

The 2026 ceremony reached its peak at The Convergence Indonesia in Epicentrum, South Jakarta. It was recorded on Aug. 31, with the special program scheduled for broadcast on Sept. 5.

The awards process included registration and curation from December 2025 through June 2026, followed by independent verification. Five main categories were prepared to reflect different parts of the Hajj and Umrah travel ecosystem.

The categories covered support services such as airlines, hotels in Makkah and Madinah, and muasasah transportation. The Innovation and Digital Award recognized digital services, mobile applications and educational media designed to improve the pilgrim experience. The Pilgrim Services Award focused on guidance, satisfaction management and support for older people, people with disabilities and children. The Operational Performance Award recognized organizers’ achievements, including PIHK and PPIU of the Year honors and pilgrim-volume milestones.
