Areguá strawberry fair kicks off with strong sales and visitor turnout

Areguá, Paraguay, has officially launched its annual strawberry fair, transforming the city's central areas into a vibrant marketplace for local producers. Approximately 80 families are participating, showcasing and selling a variety of strawberries and strawberry-based products.

The fair is accessible daily, with stalls open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Key commercial zones are situated along Mcal. Estigarribia and La Candelaria routes, with additional points of sale in the downtown area on La Canderia and Fulgencio Yegros streets, as well as in the Areguá-Estanzuela area.

Rossana Galeano, a producer and coordinator of the strawberry expo, described the opening day as a "total success," noting the significant number of visitors and strong sales. "The launch of the fair will be on another date, but the strawberry fair and exhibition has officially started today, and fortunately, we have had a very good reception," she stated.

Galeano extended an invitation to residents of the Central department and beyond to visit Areguá. Visitors can enjoy the fresh strawberries and their derivatives while also exploring the city's other attractions.
