Argentina's Aapresid Congress to feature major cattle auctions

The upcoming Aapresid Congress in Rosario, Argentina, from August 4-6, 2026, will prominently feature livestock, including three televised and streaming auctions offering more than 7,500 head of cattle. This initiative, a continuation from last year, aims to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and commercial transactions within the agro-industrial sector.

The auctions will be conducted by Jáuregui Lorda, Agricultores Federados Argentinos (AFA), and Rosgan, through its operator Pastore y Cía. This marks the second consecutive year the congress incorporates commercial auctions, broadening the event's scope beyond its traditional focus on agriculture and technological innovation. Organizers intend for the congress to be a platform for producers, consignees, companies, and investors to engage in business.

The first auction on Tuesday, August 4, will be led by Jáuregui Lorda Haciendas, offering approximately 5,000 head for grazing, breeding, consumption, and export. This event will be broadcast on Canal Rural. Atilio Panaccio, auctioneer for Jáuregui Lorda, expressed enthusiasm for participating again, inviting those seeking quality lots.

On Wednesday, AFA will host a special auction featuring around 1,000 head for grazing and breeding, available via streaming. Alejandro Milano, AFA's livestock manager and auctioneer, highlighted the importance of the Aapresid Congress as a major national event and expressed expectations for strong sales with favorable terms.

The bet is not on quantity, but on quality. These animals are destined for slaughter and come from establishments that represent the best of the core area.

The final auction on Thursday, August 6, will be organized by Rosgan, the livestock market of the Rosario Stock Exchange, through Pastore y Cía. Approximately 1,500 head intended for slaughter will be auctioned online. Raúl Milano, president of Rosgan, emphasized that the focus is on quality, with animals sourced from leading establishments in the region, showcasing the best of Argentine agriculture.
