In a statement released on its official website, the AFA's Executive Committee affirmed its backing for Infantino's focus on developing football worldwide and reinforcing FIFA's institutional framework.

AFA highlighted the transformation within FIFA during Infantino's tenure, characterizing it as built on clear, stable, and transparent governance. This approach, they believe, has strengthened the relationships between FIFA, confederations, and all member associations. The association views this as crucial for maintaining unity within the global football community and fostering improvements both in the sport and its governing bodies.

Furthermore, the AFA welcomed FIFA's decision to withdraw a recent proposal that had generated significant debate among member associations. The AFA stated that the proposal, from its inception, created more uncertainty than clarity within the broader football world.
