Argentine executive to take key global automotive industry position

Buenos Aires, Argentina – Pablo Di Si, a prominent Argentine executive, is returning to the forefront of the global automotive industry as the new Chief Performance Officer for Stellantis. In this key global position, he will report directly to CEO Antonio Filosa, tasked with executing one of the company's core performance improvement programs.

Di Si's appointment, effective August 3, marks a new chapter in a career spanning more than 30 years across Argentina, Brazil, and the United States. While his name is strongly associated with Volkswagen, where he held top leadership roles for over a decade, his professional journey began outside the automotive sector. He gained early experience in project management at Monsanto and held finance director positions at Kimberly-Clark in Brazil.

His transition into the automotive world involved various roles within companies linked to Fiat, Chrysler, Case New Holland, and Iveco, focusing on finance and business development across Latin America and the U.S. A significant phase of his career began in 2014 when he joined Volkswagen Argentina as Operations and Finance Director.

Two years later, Di Si became President and CEO of Volkswagen Argentina, spearheading the investment for the production of the Volkswagen Taos SUV at the General Pacheco plant. This project involved a major industrial transformation, including the adoption of the MQB platform and the construction of a new paint shop. The Taos, launched in 2021, was the first SUV of its kind produced by Volkswagen in Argentina.

In 2017, he moved to Brazil to lead Volkswagen's operations in Latin America, navigating diverse economic and commercial landscapes. His responsibilities expanded further when he was appointed President and CEO of Volkswagen Group of America in September 2022, overseeing the German automaker's operations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico during a period of significant transformation, including the push towards electrification and market share recovery.
