Armstrong's double fires Dinamo to Superliga summit

Dinamo Bucharest climbed to the top of the Superliga table after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Universitatea Cluj, propelled by a brace from Scottish forward Danny Armstrong.

The match, played at the Arcul de Triumf stadium, saw Dinamo create early chances, with Pascual's header and Chipciu hitting the woodwork. However, it was Armstrong who broke the deadlock in the 34th minute with a superb strike from the edge of the box, giving Dinamo a 1-0 lead at halftime.

Armstrong doubled Dinamo's advantage just three minutes into the second half, scoring with a low shot to put the home side in a commanding position. The game took a turn in the 67th minute when Dinamo's Alexandru Musi received a second yellow card and was sent off.

The Scot scored a brace, in the 48th minute, when he scored with a low shot, and Dinamo extended their lead on the scoreboard.

Universitatea Cluj capitalized on the man advantage, with Drammeh hitting the crossbar before pulling a goal back in the 77th minute. Despite a late surge from Cluj and a missed opportunity by Nistor, Dinamo held on to secure the crucial three points.

With this victory, Dinamo Bucharest now leads the Superliga with 13 points, while Universitatea Cluj remains in sixth place with 9 points.
