Asaba Behind Tinubu, Oborevwori’s Re-election in 2027 Election, Monarch Declares

The Asagba of Asaba, Prof. Epiphany Azinge, has publicly declared his support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in their upcoming re-election campaigns. The monarch's endorsement came during a courtesy visit from the FOOG Women Support Group, which advocates for the re-election of both leaders.

We respected and appreciated women in all their endeavors towards growth and development of the community and Kingdom because they could access where even men could not.

During the visit to his palace in Asaba, the Asagba of Asaba not only assured Tinubu and Oborevwori of his kingdom's backing but also threw his weight behind the FOOG Women Support Group's empowerment initiatives. He specifically acknowledged their efforts in supporting women within the Delta North Senatorial District.

The traditional ruler highlighted the significant role women play in the growth and development of communities and kingdoms, noting their unique ability to access areas often unreachable by men. He also commented on Nigeria's abundant oil and gas resources, suggesting that poverty should not be a persistent issue for the nation.

Nigerians had no business with poverty given her God-given oil and gas resources and charged FOOG Women to continue with their good work of empowering women, noting that they were the engineers of the good things in every community and nation.

Chief (Mrs) Esther Okotie-Eboh, the Director-General of the FOOG Women Support Group, stated that their primary mission was to empower women. She mentioned that while their visit was focused on empowerment programs, they also sought the monarch's royal blessing. The group's empowerment program for women in the Delta North Senatorial District was scheduled to take place at the Samuel Dietake Multi-Purpose event hall.
