Asus May Upgrade 5 Phone Models to Android 17, List Leaked

Asus is reportedly set to offer Android 17 upgrades to five of its smartphone models, demonstrating a continued commitment to its user base despite earlier announcements about scaling back its smartphone operations. Foreign media outlet PhoneArena has published an estimated list of devices eligible for the upcoming Android 17 update.

The anticipated list includes the ROG Phone 9, ROG Phone 9 Pro, ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition, ROG Phone 9 FE, and the Zenfone 12 Ultra. Notably, the ROG Phone 9 FE has not been released in Taiwan. This potential update cycle indicates that Asus intends to fulfill its promise to support its existing mobile customers.

Asus had previously stated its dedication to supporting its current phone clients after signaling a shift away from the smartphone market earlier this year. The inclusion of these models in the estimated Android 17 upgrade list suggests the company is following through on that assurance.
