AtlasIntel poll puts Lucas Ribeiro at 42.2% in Paraíba governor race, Efraim at 30.9% and Lucena at 19.8%

Gov. Lucas Ribeiro leads the Paraíba governor’s race with 42.2% of voting intentions in an AtlasIntel poll published Friday. Efraim Filho follows with 30.9%, while Cícero Lucena has 19.8%.

The poll puts the margin of error at three percentage points. Other candidates recorded less than 1% each: Yuri Ezequiel had 0.5%, Camilo Duarte 0.4% and Pedro Coutinho 0.3%. Blank or invalid ballots accounted for 3.8%, while 1.9% of respondents were undecided.

Ribeiro also leads the two runoff scenarios tested. He has 47.5% against Efraim Filho’s 40.4%, with blank, invalid and undecided responses totaling 12.1%. Against Lucena, Ribeiro leads 45.6% to 29.6%, while those three response categories total 24.8%.

AtlasIntel conducted 1,207 online interviews from Aug. 28 to Sept. 2. The poll has a 95% confidence level and is registered with Brazil’s Superior Electoral Court under protocols PB-01118/2026 and BR-04083/2026.

The same survey gives President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva a broad lead in Paraíba’s first-round presidential scenario. Lula has 51.8%, compared with 28.1% for Sen. Flávio Bolsonaro. In a runoff, Lula leads Bolsonaro 56.3% to 33.4%, with blank, invalid and undecided responses totaling 10.3%.
