Ba opens upgraded community park with new facilities

Ba families now have a new hub for recreation and relaxation with the opening of the upgraded Ba Motorparts Park. The $86,000 facility, formerly Namosau Park, boasts modern playground equipment, landscaped areas, and improved community spaces designed for all ages.

A key addition to the park is a dedicated barbecue area, offering a new venue for family and social gatherings. This upgrade aims to enhance family activity and strengthen community wellbeing, according to Ba Town Council Special Administrator Moshin Khan.

Minister for Local Government Maciu Nalumisa attended the opening and urged residents to take responsibility for the park's upkeep. "What we should not do is throw rubbish everywhere. We should dispose of rubbish properly in the bins provided and take care of the facilities we have here," he stated, referencing instances of damage in other parks.

The Ba Town Council plans further upgrades to public facilities, with a senior citizens' park being the next development focus.
