Back-to-School Weather: Mostly Dry Across Vietnam on the Morning of Sept. 5

Morning school-opening ceremonies across Vietnam are expected to face mostly favorable weather on Sept. 5, with little rain forecast in all three regions.

The National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said northern Vietnam and the area from Thanh Hóa to Hà Tĩnh would be sunny, with localized heat. Rain and thunderstorms may occur in a few places during the evening and night. Temperatures in the north are expected to range from 24°C to 27°C at their lowest and from 32°C to 35°C at their highest, with some areas exceeding 35°C.

Central Vietnam will also be sunny during the day, but parts of the region from Quảng Trị to Huế and the south-central coast may see scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain, in the afternoon and evening. Highs are forecast at 32°C to 35°C.

The Central Highlands and southern Vietnam may experience scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, including locally heavy rain. Ho Chi Minh City is expected to reach 33°C to 34°C, while Cần Thơ may reach 31°C to 33°C.

Hanoi is forecast to be sunny, with localized heat and temperatures of 33°C to 35°C, possibly higher in some areas. Huế and Da Nang may see showers and thunderstorms later in the day, while Quảng Ninh is expected to remain dry at night.
