Badr Hari's lawyer denies allegations and details police investigation

Badr Hari went calmly and voluntarily to a police station after authorities requested his presence, according to a statement from his lawyer, Sim Bolat. The Moroccan kickboxing champion has cooperated with investigators and is prepared to continue doing so.

The statement placed the investigation in the context of an ongoing family dispute between Hari and his former wife following their separation. Part of the disagreement concerns the upbringing of their children. It stressed that the case does not involve any allegation of physical violence.

Hari categorically denied the allegations, saying they do not reflect what happened. He also said he respected the legal process and trusted that the facts would become clear in due course.

The lawyer said Hari did not want to discuss the family dispute publicly because he wanted to protect the privacy of his children and their mother.
