Balcony Cleaning Dispute Between Neighbors Turns Violent, Injuring Three

A neighborhood dispute over water splashing from balconies erupted into violence on Tuesday evening in Istanbul's Bağlık neighborhood. The conflict began the previous day when a disagreement between the families of Ebru B. and İsmail O. over water splashing during balcony cleaning led to a police complaint from both sides.

The tension reignited Tuesday evening when Ebru B. and Yunus Emre O. argued about the same issue. The verbal dispute quickly escalated, drawing in Ebru B.'s husband, Mehmet B., and Yunus Emre O.'s father, İsmail O., leading to a physical brawl.

During the altercation, neighbors reported that the families threw stones and bricks at each other. The fight resulted in three people sustaining injuries. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene following reports from residents. Police intervened to control the situation, while paramedics provided aid to the injured.

The injured individuals were taken to various hospitals for treatment. Those treated and released were subsequently taken to a police station to give their statements. An investigation into the incident has been launched and is ongoing.
