Bali Winner Vows to Give His Best in Turkish Airlines World Cup Final

Muhammad Bramantyo Andaru has earned Bali a place in the grand final of the 11th Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup after winning the qualifier at New Kuta Golf and Ocean View in Pecatu.

Bramantyo posted a net score of 68 in the September 3 competition. Ketut Redina finished second, followed by Ida Bagus Surya Antara. In the skills categories, Rishi Kumar won the men’s nearest-to-the-pin title, while Doris Sim took the women’s award.

Bramantyo will join the other local winners at the grand final at Gloria Golf Club in Antalya, Türkiye, at the end of December. Turkish Airlines Indonesia General Manager Celal Baykal congratulated him and said the Bali event had been a success.

The Bali event was the 62nd of 139 qualifiers being held worldwide this year. The Jakarta qualifier took place at Damai Indah Golf’s PIK Course on August 20, with Alice Lesmana winning the right to represent the capital at the final.

The tournament says more than 10,000 golfers have taken part in over 130 events across 84 countries since it began in 2013. Finalists will play at Gloria Golf Club and stay at Gloria Serenity Resort, traveling to Türkiye in Turkish Airlines business class.
