Banco Azteca demands justice for employee murdered while awaiting bus in Morelos

Banco Azteca has publicly condemned the murder of its employee, Danya Marino Díaz, who was killed on Sunday evening in Jiutepec, Morelos, while waiting for public transportation to return home. The company expressed outrage over the incident, emphasizing that no one should lose their life commuting after work.

The financial institution demanded that authorities conduct a swift, comprehensive, and transparent investigation to fully clarify the crime and ensure the responsible parties face justice. Banco Azteca stated its commitment to closely monitoring the progress of the investigation. This murder is the 68th femicide recorded in Morelos this year, underscoring the persistent and severe issue of gender-based violence in the region.

Preliminary reports indicate that the assailants were traveling on a motorcycle along Paseo Cuauhnáhuac, near the Bugambilias neighborhood. The attack occurred at a public transport stop located at the Packsa intersection, heading towards Cuernavaca. The perpetrators fled the scene immediately after the assault without being apprehended. Emergency services responded to reports of gunfire, and paramedics confirmed the victim had already succumbed to her injuries upon arrival.
