Bandai Namco to Open First Mexico City Store in August 2026

Bandai Namco is set to launch its inaugural store in Mexico City, a dedicated space for fans to acquire collectibles and merchandise from its beloved franchises. Located at Nápoles 33 in the Juárez neighborhood, the new Bandai Namco Shop aims to become a central hub for enthusiasts of anime, video games, and collecting, offering exclusive items.

The establishment, already fitted out and visible on Google Maps, is situated near major thoroughfares like Paseo de la Reforma and Insurgentes. While the company has not officially announced an opening date, sources indicate a potential launch on August 21, 2026. Bandai Namco Mexico has teased the upcoming opening on social media with a cryptic message: "Something very big is about to open."

This new venture represents a significant step in Bandai Namco's strategy to connect directly with its Mexican fanbase. The store will feature a wide array of products, including Gunpla (Gundam model kits), Gashapon (capsule toys), Tamashii Nations, Banpresto, Ichibansho, and Tamagotchi. Fans can also expect merchandise from popular anime series such as Dragon Ball, Gundam, One Piece, Naruto, Demon Slayer, Spy X Family, and My Hero Academia. This opening follows the company's successful Gundam Base Pop-Up Store event in Mexico in 2025, further solidifying its presence and commitment to the Latin American market.
