Banten Tax Revenue Grows 13.5 Percent by April 2026

Banten Province in Indonesia has experienced a significant surge in tax revenue, reaching Rp25.02 trillion by the end of April 2026, marking a 13.5 percent growth. Muhamad Riza Fahlevi, Head of Data and Tax Potential Supervision at the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) Banten Regional Office, attributed this increase to heightened economic activity and a more dynamic business sector.

The data from DJP Banten reveals that various business sectors contributed to this growth. The professional sector led the expansion with a remarkable 155.51 percent increase. Other sectors also showed robust performance, including real estate (46.92 percent), wholesale trade (27.61 percent), government administration (19.15 percent), transportation and warehousing (14.67 percent), manufacturing (7.96 percent), and rental activities (4.42 percent).

This revenue achievement represents 26.6 percent of the 2026 national budget target for Banten, which was set at Rp94.07 trillion. Value Added Tax (VAT) on domestic goods was the primary source of revenue, accounting for 29.1 percent of the total, followed by import VAT at 27.11 percent. Six tax offices within the Kanwil DJP Banten also reported positive growth, with KPP Pratama Pondok Aren achieving 32.41 percent of its target and KPP Pratama Pandeglang showing the highest growth rate at 20.77 percent.
