Barça outclasses Montpellier in Kerolin Nicoli's debut

FC Barcelona began their preseason with a convincing 3-1 victory over Montpellier in their first friendly match. The game, held at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, served as the debut for Brazilian star Kerolin Nicoli, the club's most expensive signing to date. Nicoli entered the match in the 78th minute, though her impact was limited in the short time she played.

Montpellier equalized early in the second half through Justine Rouquet, but Barcelona quickly responded. Hansen's skillful play on the right wing opened up the defense, leading to Pina's goal for a 2-1 lead. Mayssa Baha sealed the victory in the 84th minute, converting a pass from Hansen. Barcelona will play two more friendlies before the start of their season.
